I painted this original as a gift for a good friend of mine, a vibrant and unusual lady I met in Cyprus who inspired me and took me under her wing when I needed just that support and comfort. ‘Onwards and upwards’ we cried on parting and ‘take care of yourself, you are very special’ she said. What a wonderful thing to tell me. I was the sheep who needed shelter and she was the blue butterflied tree who gave me just that. May we all be blessed with such kindness as we journey.
