The mystical forest radiates a strong energy up from and symbolises connection to, the earth. The ecstatic ascending figure implies there is union here, a sensation of being healed, raised and held aloft by god, protected and suspended in a circle of gold and white.
This painting was commissioned by a young Canadian woman who is doing pioneering energy work. Based at a spiritual healing centre in Bali for many years she is now back in Vancouver, Canada working alongside mainstream medicine.
