From Two Harbours

From two harbours,

we set out.

Unfurled our sails to the four winds.

 

Many other seekers moved upon those waves

that carry hopeful souls.

But each wise swell brought us closer,

till well met we turned tack,

came side by side 

and set our sights upon the wide horizon. 

 

Every day is celebration

and every year a gift.

Praise be to the mystic tide

 that brought you home to me.

For from two harbours we set out

and found each other on the open sea.
