The eternal light of my secret sacred heart
 
In the safe harbour of my simple, secret heart, 
there is a silence, sweet and clear and set apart,
from the oh so beguiling, hypnotising, too bright,
preposterously pompous imposter light.
 
Willing, yearning, to the warm and friendly deep I yield,
into the arms of mother, god, home, love, the open field,
and I am once again, one again, in perfect harmony,
peace passing all understanding, greatest mystery. 
 
It’s always there, blue above the clouds, truth beyond the veil,
the light that never goes out, the love that cannot fail. 
Beloved, my heart is yours and your heart mine. 
We are one inside the other all the time.
