The Wedding Party
 
From near and far the people gathered, 
bells rang out, ‘Yes, come, this way!’
For the long planned, 
keen awaited, 
excitedly anticipated, 
precious and momentous wedding day.
 
Came one and all for sweet romance,
to toast our union, feast and dance.
Came revellers, dishevellers,
the sparks and cinders flew. 
 
And in the midst of the swirl, an island,
smaller party of a chosen few, 
the maids of the bride,
who stayed close at her side, 
in their brilliant deep sea blue.
 
Celebration, jubilation, what a day, Oh! What a ball! 
Gratitude spills from our hearts.
A thousand times we thank you all.
