Wild Ride
 
We have weathered storms,
felt the earth drop away from under our feet, 
dizzy with fear and hope,
at the end of our rope,
but with a taste so sweet.
A kaleidoscope of memories breaks its sleep,
a thousand shifting fragments catch the light, 
so much, too fast
I wish to touch, to claim, to keep,
these vast and precious moments of delight.
Please forgive my failings for I know not what I do,
 I’m sorry for the times I made you cry.
I love you and I thank you for this journey,
this wild ride we’ve made together,
you and I.
